A goal by Andrei Spiteri on 35 minutes and another by Antoine Attard four minutes in added time handed Ta’ Xbiex a 2-0 win over St. George’s in a match from the BOV Amateur League II at the Luxol Stadium on Sunday.
A win which enables Ta’ Xbiex to move joint-third with Dingli and Mdina on 18 points.
Kalkara lead the way with 27 points, followed by Msida on 19, Dingli, Mdina and Ta’ Xbiex 18, Rabat 16, Siggiewi 15, St, George’s 11, Gharghur and Ghaxaq 8, Marsaskala 5 and Sta. Venera 3.
