Kalkara United scored twice in the second half as they defeated St. George’s 2-0 in a match from the BOV Amateur League II at the Centenary Stadium on Friday.
Jean Claude Annati put Kalkara ahead on 66 minutes and Miguel Perez doubled the score on 77 minutes.
In another match, Rabat Ajax beat Ghaxaq 3-1. Nigel Borg put the Magpies ahead on 39 minutes. Andy Paul Camilleri doubled the score on 72 minutes and although Ghaxaq reduced the gap through Sheldon Vella on 89 minutes, Yuya Emura made it 3-1 on 90 minutes.
Kalkara lead the way with 33 points, followed by Msida on 23, Dingli 22, Ta’ Xbiex 21, Rabat 19, Mdina 18, Siggiewi 16, St. George’s 12, Marsaskala, Gharghur and Ghaxaq 8 and Sta. Venera 3.
