BOV Amateur League II: Kalkara United regain nine-point lead as Dingli Swallows move second

Leaders Kalkara United defeated Siggiewi 3-0 in a match from the BOV Amateur League II at the Charles Abela Stadium on Saturday.

An own goal three minutes from the end of the first half put Kalkara ahead. Aaron Hili converted a penalty on 76 minutes and Lucas Barcik made it 3-0 one minute in added time.

Dingli Swallows defeated Msida St. Joseph at the Sirens Stadium to move second ahead of the Saints.  Ronaldinho Daleyu converted a penalty four minutes from the end of the first half but in added time, Taiwo David Akindele levelled matters. However Daley was on target once again for Dingli on 69 minutes. 

A goal by Dylan Camilleri on the hour handed Ghaxaq a narrow win over Marsaskala at the Sirens Stadium while Santa Venera Lightnings and Gharghur shared the spoils in a 1-1 draw at the Charles Abela Stadium thanks to goals by Mark Bonello Ghio for Gharghur on 49 minutes and Desire Kobe on 56 minutes for the Lightnings. 

Kalkara lead the way with 40 points, followed by Dingli on 31, Msida 30, Ta’ Xbiex 28, Mdina 26, Rabat 22, Siggiewi 20, St. George’s 18, Ghaxaq 11, Gharghur 10, Marsaskala 9 and Sta. Venera 7.
