Zejtun Corinthians and Mellieha registered wins in two clashes from the BOV Amateur League I at the Centenary Stadium on Friday.
The Corinthians defeated Senglea Athletic 3-1. Adrian Carabott put Zejtun ahead just before the end of the first half and Clyde Bouvet doubled the score three minutes in the second half. Steven Meilak reduced the gap on 58 minutes but Fabrizio Zammit made it 3-1 on 94 minutes.
On the other hand, a goal by Alexander Akl three minutes from time handed Mellieha a narrow win over Luqa St. Andrew’s.
Attard lead the way with 40 points, followed by Lija on 33, VIctoria 32, Qormi 31, Mqabba 30, San Gwann 22, Qrendi 21, Zejtun 19, Xghajra 18, Senglea 16, Pembroke and Mellieha 15, Kirkop and Luqa 14.
