Naxxar Lions secured a spot in the YoHealth Malta Premier Closing Round Top 6 after defeating Hibernians 2-1 at the Tony Bezzina Stadium on Saturday.

The Lions, who had finished second from bottom in the Opening Round, make it to the Top 6 after finishing fourth, one point behind third placed Marsaxlokk and one ahead of Valletta and Gzira United. Hibernians, on the other hand, will be playing in the Bottom 6 along with Sliema Wanderers, Birkirkara, Zabbar St. Patrick, Tarxien Rainbows and Mosta.

Louis Pahama put the Lions ahead on 15 minutes and Vitinho doubled the score on 68 minutes. Four minutes later, Hibernians pulled one back thanks to Kurt Shaw.
