The Malta Women’s Under-16 National Team registered two wins in the UEFA Women Under-16 Development Tournament which was held at the FMF Technical Centre in Chisinau, Moldova.
In the first match on Thursday, Malta defeated the Faroe Islands 4-0. Amy Catania converted a penalty to put Malta ahead and Keziah Richard doubled the score. In the second half, Martina Montebello increased the lead and Amy Muscat sealed the issue with a fourth goal.
On Saturday, Malta lost 0-4 to Bosnia and Herzegovina but in the last match on Tuesday, Malta defeated hosts Moldova 2-1 thanks to a brace by Amberley Borg during the first half.
