Birzebbuga St. Peter’s and SK Victoria Wanderers joined Melita in the semi-finals of the BOV Challenge Cup as they registered wins on Wednesday.
At the Centenary Stadium, Birzebbuga defeated Kercem Ajax 1-0 thanks to a goal by Leo Agius on 84 minutes.
On the other hand, at the Gozo Stadium, SK Victoria Wanderers defeated Xaghra United 4-2. Juan Pena put the Wanderers ahead on 20 minutes but Lucas Farrugia equalised two minutes later. Juan Pena scored again to make it 2-1 on 29 minutes and although Yousouf Abedi levelled matters on 35 minutes, the Wanderers scored twice in the second half thanks to Mustapha Amodu on 55 minutes and Neil Camilleri on 84 minutes.
The other semi-final between Gudja United and Xewkija Tigers will be played on Thursday.
