Clint Tabone names provisional squad ahead of UEFA Women’s Under-17 Championship qualifiers

Malta Women’s Under-17 National Team Coach Clint Tabone has announced a 23-player provisional squad ahead of the upcoming UEFA WU17 European Championship Qualifying matches.

In the draw for the second qualifying round of the 2025/26 UEFA European Women’s Under-17 Championship, Malta was drawn in Group 1 of League B, together with Belarus, Lithuania and Estonia.

The group promises to be a tight and competitive one, with the three teams set to face one another in matches at the Centenary Stadium in the coming weeks.

The first match will see Malta take on Lithuania on Friday 27th March, with kick-off at 15:00hrs. This will then be followed by a match against Belarus a few days later, on Monday 30th March, with the encounter kicking off at 14:30hrs. Malta’s final match of the group will see them face Estonia on Thursday 2nd April, kicking off at 11:00hrs, as the group’s final standings are determined.

These are set to be an intriguing set of matches, as the Malta WU17 National Team gains further experience on the international stage, continuing their development by facing strong opposition.
