Attard moved another step closer to promotion as they defeated Pembroke Athleta 3-2 at the Victor Tedesco Stadium on Wednesday.
Tejumola Ebenezer Ayorinde put Attard ahead on 6 minutes and Lesley Cassar Jackson doubled the score on 26 minutes. Pembroke hit back with goals byMalcolm Vella Vidal on 28 minutes and Luca Emanuele Caruana on 39 minutes but Precious Uchechukwu Nwankwo notched the winner on 56 minutes.
Attard lead the way with 53 points, followed by Victoria on 48, Qormi 43, Mqabba 41, Lija 40, San Gwann 30, Qrendi 26, Kirkop 24, Zejtun, Mellieha, Pembroke, Senglea and Luqa 21 and Xghajra 19.
