The YoHealth Malta Premier Closing Round Bottom 6 got underway with a 1-1 draw between Sliema Wanderers and Hibernians at the National Stadium on Friday.
A draw which suited neither side as both were aiming to collect the three points to steer away from the danger zone as early as possible.
Hibernians managed to take the lead on 18 minutes when a Denys Norenkov effort from the left was blocked by a defender and Kevin Halabaku slotted the ball past the helpless Al Tumi.
However, five minutes from the end of the first half, Sliema levelled matters when off a corner from the left, Murilo Freire headed the ball in the direction of Uros Djuranovic who flicked the ball past Branescu from close range.
