Marsaxlokk returned to winning ways to move, at least temporarily, alone in second place, as they defeated Gzira United 2-1 in a match from the YoHealth Malta Premier Top 6 at the National Stadium on Sunday.
The Southseasiders move three points ahead of Hamrun Spartans and four ahead of Valletta but the Spartans have a game against Naxxar Lions in hand.
Following a goalless first half, Dodo put Marsaxlokk ahead on 54 minutes but Gzira equalised thanks to Maxuell Samurai four minutes later. However, Dodo scored again on 74 minutes to hand Vincenzo Potenza’s side the three points.
