BOV Amateur League I: Luqa St. Andrew’s relegated

Luqa St. Andrew’s were the first team to be relegated to the National Amateur League II as they lost 0-3 to Pembroke Athleta in a match from the BOV Amateur League I at the Sirens Stadium on Saturday.

Kyle Sciberras Balbi put Pembroke ahead on 31 minutes and late goals by Xylon Marmara on 83 minutes and Weverton three minutes later sealed the issue.

In another match, Kirkop United earned a point in a 1-1 draw with champions Attard. Seydna Dicko put Kirkop ahead on 13 minutes but Nicholas Schembri equalised one minute from time.

Attard lead the way with 60 points, followed by Victoria Hotspurs on 51, Mqabba 48, Qormi 46, Lija 43, Mellieha, Qrendi and San Gwann 30, Senglea 28, Kirkop, Pembroke and Xghajra 25, Zejtun 22 and Luqa 21.
