The Malta Football Association issued a statement after Mtarfa FC once again failed to turn up for a BOV National League I match, this time against Senglea Athletic. 

“Following today’s second consecutive no-show by Mtarfa Football Club in their scheduled BOV National League 1 fixture, the Malta Football Association will be referring the matter to its Member Status Committee for its review and determination of the current state of affairs, following which a decision will be taken by the MFA Executive Committee in accordance with the applicable regulations.”

“In addition, disciplinary charges will be issued against Mtarfa Football Club in relation to its alleged breaches of the regulations.”
