Swieqi United registered a most comfortable 8-0 win over Mtarfa in a match from the BOV Challenge League at the Centenary Stadium on Saturday.
Kian Leonardi put Swieq ahead on 24 minutes and Emmanuel Asante doubled the score on the half hour. Salam Kojo Mawuena scored twice on 47 and 57 minutes and Kian Leonardi made it 5-0 on 59 minutes. Mawuena completed his hat-trick on 75 minutes and Asante added another three minutes later. Nexille Grech scored the eighth goal on the 90th.
A goal by Olalekan Qudus Opajobi nine minutes from time handed Zebbug Rangers a narrow win over Marsa at the Victor Tedesco Stadium.
In another match, Pieta’ Hotspurs and Gudja United shared the spoils in a 1-1 draw at the Victor Tedesco Stadium.
Emmanuel Bio put the Hotspurs ahead on 11 minutes but Joseph Chilaka Agbakwuru equalised on 70 minutes.
