Led for the first time by new coach Paul Zammit, Birkirkara returned to winning ways as they defeated Tarxien Rainbows 5-0 in a match from the YoHealth Malta Premier Closing Round league at the Centenary Stadium on Tuesday.
The Stripes therefore registered a second win in four matches while Tarxien continue to chase their first points after four matches.
Kemar Reid put the Stripes ahead on 15 minutes and Roni Santos doubled the score on 32 minutes. Jacques Bayo made it 3-0 before the end of the first half.
In the second half, Aleandro Garzia scored twice between the 77th and 80th to extend the lead further.
