A goal in added time enabled Sliema Wanderers to rescue a point in a 1-1 draw with Naxxar Lions in a match from the league phase of the YoHealth Malta Premier Closing Round at the National Stadium on Saturday.
Following a goalless first half, Vinicius Baiano hit the crossbar with a header five minutes in the second half.
Naxxar finally managed to take the lead on 82 minutes thanks to Vitinho. However, one minute in added time, the Wanderers levelled matters with Uros Djuranovic slotting past goalkeeper Matthias Debono.
The Wanderers, therefore, stay one point ahead of the Lions, on the 8-point mark, two behind Birkirkara, Gzira United, Marsaxlokk and Hibernians.
