Zabbar St. Patrick defeated Mosta 5-3 in a match from the YoHealth Malta Premier Closing Round league phase at the National Stadium on Saturday.
These three points extend Gilbert Agius’ side positive run to five matches to move eight points clear of bottom-placed Mosta. In fact, for the Blues, this was the ninth defeat in ten matches.
Prince Chibuzor Emmanuel put Mosta ahead on 8 minutes but Bruno Figueiredo equalised on 13 minutes. Mosta regained two minutes later through Nevin Portelli with Brian Gambarte levelling matters on the half hour.
Youngwon Im put the Saints ahead for the first time four minutes in the second half and Pedro Cejas increased the lead on 69 minutes. Leo Fernandes reduced the gap for Mota on 74 minutes but Ayom Majok made it 5-3 six minutes from time.
