Melania Bajada names squad ahead of UEFA Under-19 Championship qualifiers

Malta Women’s Under-19 National Team Coach Melania Bajada has announced a 20-player squad ahead of the upcoming 2025/26 UEFA Women’s Under-19 Championship matches.

Malta, competing in League B, were drawn in group three, together with Bulgaria, Israel and Kazakhstan. All three matches will be played at the Centenary Stadium over the coming days.

This will represent Bajada’s first international window as coach of the Malta WU19 National Team. Malta will be looking to produce a strong performance in the group, performing against a number of strong opponents.

Malta will first be taking on Israel on Thursday 9th April 2026, with kick-off at 14:30hrs. This will then be followed by a clash against Bulgaria on Sunday 12th April 2026, also kicking off at 14:30hrs. The team’s final match of the group will take place on Wednesday 15th April 2026, when Malta faces off against Kazakhstan at 11:00hrs.
