Newly-promoted Birzebbuga St. Peter’s signed twenty nine year old Brazilian central defender Gustavo Felipe de Campos Gonçalves.

Gustavo Felipe played for Ponte Preta, Foz do Iguacu, Batel, Almirante Barroso and Veranopolis before a spell with Sport Loreto in Peru. He returned to Brazil and played for Internacional and Inter Limeira and Porto Vitoria, moving to Bahrain where he played for Sitra, Al-Najma and Bahrain SC. He joined Naxxar Lions last summer.

The newly-promoted side have confirmed Edgar Degabriele as their coach and had earlier announced the signing of Alessandro Coppola, Jackson Mendoza, Yuri Messias, Shaun Dimech, Kurt Bondin, Mattia Santi, Stipe Tokić, Rasmus Thellufsen, Daishawn Redan, Sam Azimzadeh Tabrizi, Pietro Tomaselli and goalkeeper Matteo Chiesa. Alex Bruno, Miguel Azzopardi, Jacob Walker, Juan Bolanos, Zachary Cassar, Matthew Xuereb, Hubert Vella Genovese, Daniel Zerafa and goalkeeper Julian Azzopardi were confirmed while Charles Chibueke, William James England, Duvan Mosquera, Jamie Scerri, Chris Baker, Joey Reno Vella, Leo Agius, Randall Vella, Paul Lapira and goalkeeper James Pisani were not retained.
