Rabat Ajax registered a fifth win in as many matches in the BOV National League II as they defeated Ghaxaq 3-0 in one of the two matches in programme at the Sirens Stadium on Saturday.
Kyle Debono put Rabat ahead on 10 minutes and Julian Suzuki scored twice on 63 and 87 minutes.
In another match, three goals within the first five minutes paved the way for an 8-1 win over Kirkop United over Marsaskala.
Giorgio Bellia put Kirkop ahead on 3 minutes, Quelin Micallef doubled the score a minute later and Andres Tenorio made it 3-0 on 5 minutes. Matthew Pulis pulled one back on 14 minutes but Bellia made it 4-1 on 21 minutes. In the second half, Idrick Schembri extended the lead on 68 minutes and a minute later, Tenorio added another before Gareth Joyce scored two goals on 82 and 86 minutes.
Rabat lead the way with 15 points, followed by Kirkop on 11, Zejtun 10, Xghajra 7, Gharghur and Ghaxaq 6, Luqa, Sta. Venera and St. George’s 5, Siggiewi and Ta’ Xbiex 4, Msida 3, Mdina 1 and Marsaskala 0.
