Zabbar St. Patrick stunned Floriana as they defeated them 2-1 in a match from the VBET Malta Premier Opening Round league phase at the Tony Bezzina Stadium on Monday.
The Greens, therefore, missed out on second place to remain fourth on 16 points, together with Hamrun Spartans, one behind Marsaxlokk and Sliema Wanderers. In the last four matches, they collected just three points from three draws. Zabbar, on the other hand, joined Balzan on 11 points as they registered a second win in three matches.
Tobias Moriceau put Zabbar ahead after just eight minutes and although Myles Beerman equalised on 24 minutes, just before half-time Milos Jovicic restored the lead for Adolfo Sormani’s side.
