Zabbar St. Patrick killed any hopes Mosta had of securing a Top 6 spot as they scored four in the second half in a shock 5-0 win in a match from match day 11 of the VBET Malta Premier at the Centenary Stadium on Saturday.
A win which puts Adolfo Sormani’s side on level points with the Blues as the two teams will face each other once again in the Bottom 6. While for Zabbar, this was the third win in four matches, for Mosta, this was the second defeat in three matches to extend their winless streak to eight matches. Quite a disappointment for a team who had won the first three matches.
Vinicius Kanu put Zabbar ahead on 32 minutes. Kaiden Fenech doubled the score three minutes in the second half and Alfredo Agyeman made it 4-0 on 53 minutes. Mario Fontanella extended the lead on 66 minutes with Charles M’Mombwa adding another six minutes later.
