Hibernians win BOV Women's Super Cup

Champions Hibernians scored twice in extra-time to lift the first honour of the season in women’s football, beating Knock-Out winners Birkirkara 2-0 to claim the BOV Women’s Super Cup.

Following a goalless draw at the end of the ninety minutes, Corissa Vella put the Paolites ahead on 101 minutes when he advanced upfield and lobbed the ball over goalkeeper Janice Xuereb.

Maria Azzopardi was sent off for Hibernians but they still managed to double the score ten minutes in the second half of extra-time through Francesca Chircop.
