The Maltese Futsal national team lost 3-2 to Switzerland in another friendly match in Magglingen.
The Maltese started well and took the lead thanks to a goal by Xavier Saliba on 6 minutes but the hosts levelled matters six minutes later. Malta could have regained the lead but Saliba had a penalty saved by the Swiss goalkeeper.
In the second half, Switzerland went 3-1 ahead but Malta reduced the gap thanks to a goal by Carlo Scicluna.
In the first match on Tuesday, Malta lost 6-4. Malta’s goals were scored by Xavier Saliba (3) and Carlo Scicluna.
After going 4-2 down, Malta drew level with two goals in thirty seconds with four minutes to go. However Switzerland scored twice in the final two minutes to secure victory.
