Mgarr United and Naxxar Lions are the current leaders in Sections A and B respectively in the BOV Third Division.

In Section A, Mgarr United were held in a 2-2 draw by Mtarfa while Siggiewi defeated Luqa St. Andrew’s 3-2.

Just four points separate the top five teams – Mgarr on 19, Mdina 18, Ghaxaq 17, Mtarfa 16 and Marsa 15.

Siggiewi are sixth on 13, followed by Luqa on 11, Fgura and Pembroke on 8 and Kalkara 3.

In Section B, Naxxar Lions beat Gudja United 2-1 on Monday while Zejtun Corinthians defeated Swieqi United 5-0 on Friday.

In other matches, Attard beat Sta. Lucia 1-0 while Kirkop United and Qrendi shared the spoils in a 2-2 draw.

Naxxar lead the way with 24 points, followed by Zejtun on 23 and Attard on 17. Zejtun and Attard have a game in hand.

Kirkop are fourth on 12, followed by Gudja on 11, Qrendi 10, Sirens, Swieqi and Xghajra on 9 and Sta. Lucia on 8.
