A group of young players and coaches from the Birkirkara FC Youth Nursery leave Malta on Thursday, destination Bergamo where they will be spending five days.
During this trip, each of the two teams – Born 1996 and Born 1995 – will be playing friendly matches against A.S. Galbiatese at the Campo Sportivo Galbiate, Atalanta at the Centro Sportivo Bortolotti and U.S. Mapello Calcio at the Campo Comunale di Mapello.
They will also visit the Centro Sportivo Cesare Bortolotti and the Atalanta training grounds in Zingonia.
The trip will include a number of excursions, including Bergamo – the city centre and Citta Alta, Como – Lake Como and surroundings, Viareggio and Pisa – the leaning tower, Piazza dei Miracoli, the Duomo and the Battistero located in the Campo Santo.
The Birkirkara contingent will also have the opportunity to watch the Serie A game between Atalanta and Livorno at the Stadio Atleti Azzurri on Sunday.
The contingent will be back to Malta on Tuesday.
