Birkirkara aim at bouncing back from shock defeat

Champions Birkirkara will be all out to return to winning ways as they take on Hibernians on Friday in this weekend’s big match from the BOV Premier League.

After an impressive 4-1 win over Sliema in their first outing, the Stripes disappointed last week as they lost 0-2 to Floriana. With the return of Patrick Borg, Paul Fenech and Shaun Bajada after serving a two-match ban following the incidents which took place at the end of the Super Cup final against Valletta, Birkirkara should be in a better shape to face the Paolites.

Hibernians defeated Floriana 3-1 in their first game and then shared the spoils in a 2-2 draw with Valletta. With a win over Birkirkara, Hibernians would take sole leadership one point ahead of Hamrun Spartans, who however would have a game in hand.
