Jurgen Degabriele back in Malta following trial with Triestina

Fourteen-year old Jurgen Degabriele, who plays for Paola Hibs Youth Nursery, returned to Malta following a five-day trial with Italian Serie B side US Triestina. This trial was made possible thanks to an initiative by the Triestina Soccer School Malta which was set-up a few weeks ago and which is open to children aged 6 to 13 at the De La Salle College.

In Trieste, Degabriele was accompanied by Triestina Soccer School Malta vice-president Robert Busuttil and was welcomed by the head of the Triestina youth sector Franco Schiraldi. During this trial, for which around fifty players were present, Jurgen Degabriele left a good impression. In fact, the possibility of Degabriele going for another trial in a few months’ time with the same club.

Busuttil and Degabriele met top officials from the Italian club, including Director General Marco Cernaz and were interviewed on US Triestina Channel.

Jurgen Degabriele said he would never forget this experience as it helped him mature. He thanked Triestina together with Kenneth Vella and Robert Busuttil from the Triestina Soccer School Malta for giving him this opportunity, Paola Hibs Youth Nursery for their co-operation and his parents for their support.
