Corinthians move four points clear

Leaders Zejtun Corinthians moved four points clear on top the BOV Second Division table as they returned to winning ways while second-placed Mellieha suffered a second consecutive defeat.

In fact, a brace by Darren Falzon gave Naxxar Lions a 2-0 win over Mellieha. A win which enabled the Lions to join Mellieha in second place on 22 points, three ahead of Rabat Ajax who however have a game in hand.

In the second match, a goal by Amadeo Mercieca gave Zejtun a narrow win over bottom-placed Mgarr United.
