Balzan Youths keep marching on in the BOV First Division thanks to a 3-0 win over St. Andrews on Sunday. A win which puts them five points clear as St. George’s were held in a draw.
An own goal by Ronnie Hartvig on 38 minutes paved the way for the Youths and goals by Renato Conceicao on 56 and Pedro Henrique Calcado on 60 minutes sealed the issue.
In the second match, Dingli Swallows held St. George’s in a 1-1 draw.
Charlon Sammut put Dingli ahead on the 13th minute but Gary Inguanez levelled matters when he converted a penalty on 32 minutes.
Balzan lead the way with 26 points, followed by St. George’s on 21, Mqabba 18, Mosta and Lija 17, Melita 13, St. Andrews 12, Dingli 11, Pietà 9 and Msida -4.
