Zach Muscat and Robson Luiz Bandeira scored two goals each as Pietà Hotspurs defeated Msida St. Joseph 6-0 in a match from the BOV First Division on Sunday.
Muscat put the Hotspurs ahead on 38 minutes and doubled the score on the hour. Two minutes later, Robson Luiz Bandeira scored the third goal and on the 64th minute, the same player made it 4-0. Daniel Alves Campos increased the lead further on 82 minutes and four minutes from time, Jurgen Pisani converted a penalty to seal the issue.
Meanwhile in a direct clash between two teams who are challenging for promotion, Mqabba and Mosta shared the spoils in a goalless draw.
When all teams have played twelve matches, Balzan lead the way with 29 points, followed by Mqabba on 22, Mosta and St. George’s on 21, Melita 19, Lija 17, St. Andrews 13, Pietà and Dingli 12 and Msida -4.
