Euro Cup: Floriana take on Birkirkara

After losing narrowly to champions Valletta in their first outing, FA Trophy winners Floriana will be facing Birkirkara in the second game from the Euro Cup at the Hibernians Stadium on Monday, kick-off at 19:30.

In the game against Valletta, the Greens had three foreign players on trial, namely English defender John Hardiker, French striker L’Imam Seydi and Italian forward Salvatore Amirante. Coach Michael Woods will take another look at these players in this game although the Italian player was expected to leave Malta for another trial.

For Birkirkara, this will be the first outing. This summer, Patrick Curmi replaced Paul Zammit as coach while the club secured the services of goalkeeper Jorge Mora and Leighton Grech. Michael Galea decided not to renew his contract while foreigners Nikola Vukanac, Ibrahim Babatunde, Rodolfo Kumbrevicius and goalkeeper Michael Fraser were released.
