Malta in FIFA Futsal World Cup draw

Malta was drawn in Group A of the Preliminary Round in the 7th FIFA Futsal World Cup 2012 European Qualifying Competition together with Moldova, Georgia and Armenia. The winner of each group and the best two runner-ups will qualify to the main round. The draws were held at the UEFA Headquarters in Nyon on Thursday.

The mini-tournament will be played in Georgia between the 19 and 23 October 2011.

Twenty teams have been split into five groups in the preliminary round. The five group winners and two best runners-up will join the 21 highest-ranked nations in the main round from 14 to 18 December, for which the draw has also been made. The winners and runners-up from each group will progress to the play-offs.
