Summer activities organised by Senglea Nursery

Each summer, the Senglea Nursery organises Summer Activities for those aged six to fifteen in Senglea. These activities give the participants the opportunity to play and challenge each other in board games, games in the ‘Tal-Ponta’ ground and water games in Cottonera Aquatic’s new Waterpolo pitch.

Following the remarkable success in the previous years, which earned the nursery awards from the Y.F.A. and the UEFA for being the best summer activities organised by nurseries in Malta, these activities are being organised once again.

Once again, these activities are being offered free of charge and each participant can choose in which activities to participate. All participants are awarded a medal and winners, a trophy in the End of Season Presentation, which Senglea Nursery organises each year.

Activities include swimming lessons, Bocci game lessons, teaching of band instruments, dancing and cultural lessions. These educational sessions are also offered free of charge.

Since SkolaSajf is not held in Senglea, the nursery aims to gather all Senglea children and youths together, so that they enjoy themselves in an educational and entertaining way.

A meeting was held for all participants and their parents on Friday. Senglea Nursery president Stephen Spiteri explained in detail how these games will be carried out. He explained that although these activities cost the Senglea Nursery a hefty sum, the nursery will still continue to offer these activities for free.

Spiteri thanked the Education Department for sponsoring part of this project, a project which triggers enthusiasm for all those who participate.
