Leaders Pembroke Athleta dropped their first points in the BOV Third Division as they were held in a 1-1 draw by Ghaxaq.

Athleta therefore stay two points ahead of Ghaxaq and are now three ahead of Mdina and Santa Lucia who are joint-third on thirteen points.

Bjorn Dalli put Ghaxaq ahead with Vojko Martinovic levelling matters for Pembroke.

Santa Lucia registered a fourth successive win as they beat Kalkara 2-0 while Mdina Knights defeated Qrendi 3-1.

Fgura United moved fifth on ten points thanks to a 2-1 win over Marsaskala while Mgarr United returned to winning ways as they beat Xghajra Tornados 3-1. Marsa and Swieqi United shared the spoils in a goalless draw.

Mgarr are now sixth on nine points, followed by Qrendi and Swieqi on 8, Marsaskala 7, Sirens 6, Xghajra 5, Mtarfa 4, Marsa 2 and Kalkara 0.
