The Sliema Wanderers Youth Nursery Carnival Football Tournament gets going this Saturday with the Under-11 and Under-13 games. Besides the Sliema Nursery, ten other football nurseries, namely Pietà Hotspurs, Birkirkara, San Gwann, Valletta, Hamrun Spartans, Melita, Tarxien Rainbows, Marsa, Paola Hibs and Floriana are participating in this 2012 edition of this popular tournament

The matches will be played at the Sliema Nursery premises in Tigne over a period of four days starting Saturday and ending on Tuesday afternoon with the Under-14 competition.

Like last year, a ‘RESPECT’ Cup will be presented to the Nursery that gets the most points awarded by the match officials for the attitude and fair play shown by the players, coaches/officials and supporters.

As a special guest of the Tournament, the Sliema Nursery administration has this year invited Ms. Marion Hayton who is the Head Football Development Officer at the Leicestershire and Rutland County F.A.
