Rabat Ajax failed to get the points to secure promotion as they suffered a 0-2 defeat to Naxxar Lions. This result leaves Rabat in second place, one behind leaders Melita.

Darren Falzon put the Lions ahead and Andrea Farrugia doubled the score.

Meanwhile Pietà Hotspurs stay in the promotion hunt as a brace by Quilin Refalo gave them a 2-0 win over St. Andrews.

Melita lead the way with 43 points, followed by Rabat on 42, Pietà 38, Naxxar 32, Zejtun 30, Vittoriosa 28, St. Andrews 27, Birzebbuga and Lija 23, Dingli 19, St. George’s and St. Patrick 16.
