Narrow defeat for Birkirkara girls in UEFA mini-tournament

Birkirkara recovered well from the heavy defeat to Olimpia Cluj in the opening match of the UEFA Women’s Champions League qualifying round mini-tournament, losing narrowly to Portuguese champions 1° Dezembro 1-0 at the Centenary Stadium on Monday.

Andreia Silvia scored the all-important goal on 17 minutes.

In another match on Monday, Olimpia Cluj defeated Glentoran Belfast 4-2.

On Thursday, Olimpia Cluj-Napoca face SU 1° Dezembro at the National Stadium while Birkirkara will play their third match against Glentoran Belfast at the Centenary Stadium. Both matches kick-off at 17:00.
