Hibs, Valletta seek to extend perfect record

Hibernians and Valletta are favourites to extend their hundred per cent record on Sunday as they take on newly-promoted Rabat Ajax and Melita respectively in the two BOV Premier League matches in programme at the National Stadium.

The Paolites defeated Mosta, Qormi and Melita in their first three outings while Rabat collected their only point in a draw with Melita, losing to Qormi and Birkirkara.

The Magpies are without Lithuanian striker Nerijus Astrauskas who is serving a two-match ban. Hibs will be without Clayton Failla and Jason Vandelannoite while Marcelo Dias is in doubt as he recovers from an injury. However Jean Paul Farrugia may be back in squad.

Valletta, on the other hand, defeated Tarxien, Mosta and Qormi with the Amateurs losing to Birkirkara and Hibernians, holding Rabat in a 3-3 draw.

The Citizens are expected to be in full strength while Melita recover Manuel Ramon Sierra Camacho who missed the first three matches.
