Three teams target first win

Three teams will be all out in search of their first win as Qormi take on Balzan and Melita face Hamrun at the Victor Tedesco Stadium on Friday.

Balzan and Melita lie at the bottom of the table with one point while Hamrun earned three points in draws.

In the first game, Qormi will be aiming at returning to winning ways after losing three out of the last four matches against Hibs, Valletta and Mosta although they had defeated Rabat in the first game and then Sliema. Balzan, on the other hand, lost the last four matches to Birkirkara, Floriana, Tarxien and Hibs.

For Balzan, Malcolm Licari is suspended but Pedro dos Santos Calcado will be back after serving a one-match ban.

In the second match, Hamrun Spartans will be all out to regain lost pride as they host Melita.

The Spartans suffered a most humiliating 8-2 defeat to Valletta on Monday – the second defeat after losing to Mosta the previous week. Melita, on the other hand, are still in search of their first Premier League win after suffering four defeats in five matches.

Jovan Vukanic will be back for Melita but Manuel Ramon Sierra Camacho is ruled out through suspension. Hamrun welcome back Angel Yoshev.
