Heavy defeat for Under-19 side to the Netherlands

The Malta Under-19 side lost 0-5 to the Netherlands in the first game from Group 3 of the UEFA Under-19 Championship qualifying round mini-tournament at the Miejski Stadium in Międzychód, Poland.

Anass Achahbar put the Dutch ahead on 18 minutes and Nathan Ake doubled the score on the 31st. Five minutes from the end of the first half, captain Kyle Ebecilio scored the third goal. Achahbar increased the lead sixteen minutes in the second half and three minutes later, Tonny Trinidade de Vilhena sealed the issue with a fifth goal.

Malta faces Poland on Thursday. Poland defeated San Marino 2-0 in another match on Tuesday.
