Pembroke Athleta joined St. George’s and Zebbug Rangers on top the BOV Second Division table after they made a good comeback from two goals down to hold St. Venera Lightnings in a 2-2 draw in one of two matches which were played at the Centenary Stadium on Wednesday.
The two games were originally scheduled for October 13 but were abandoned due to a thunderstorm.
In another match, Fgura United registered a comfortable 4-0 win over Mgarr United.
When the matches were originally played, Fgura were leading 2-1 while St. Venera and Pembroke were ironically in 2-2 draw.
St. George’s, Pembroke and Zebbug lead the way with 11 points, followed by Msida on 10, Fgura 9, San Gwann 8, Kirkop, St. Patrick and Zurrieq 6, St. Venera and Mellieha 5, Siggiewi 4, Gharghur 2, Mgarr 1.
