Leaders Zebbug Rangers moved four points clear in the BOV Second Division following an impressive 7-1 win over Mellieha at the Centenary Stadium on Sunday.
The other only team to win from those in the upper part of the table were San Gwann who defeated Fgura United 3-1 in another match at the same venue.
At the Charles Abela Stadium, Msida St. Joseph and Pembroke Athleta shared the spoils in a goalless draw. In another match in Mosta, Gharghur registered the first win as they beat Mgarr United 4-0.
Kirkop United and St. Patrick earned a point each in a goalless draw at the Luxol Stadium while Siggiewi beat Sta. Venera Lightnings 2-1.
On Friday, Zurrieq and St. George’s shared the spoils in a 1-1 draw at the Luxol Stadium.
Zebbug lead the way with 20 points, followed by Pembroke Athleta on 16, St. George’s 14, San Gwann and Fgura 13, Msida 12, Zurrieq 10, St. Patrick, Kirkop and Siggiewi 8, Mellieha and Gharghur 7, St. Venera 6 and Mgarr 5.
