After dropping four points in two draws with Balzan and Rabat Ajax, Birkirkara have a tricky test against Floriana in one if the two matches in programme at the National Stadium on Saturday.

The Stripes are currently third and need the three points to join Hibernians on top the BOV Premier League table. The Greens claimed maximum points from the last three matches thanks to wins over Sliema, Hamrun and Balzan. Three wins which re-ignited hopes of securing a top-six finish.

In the first round, Birkirkara defeated Floriana 3-0.

Meanwhile in the first match, Sliema Wanders take on Qormi.

The Wanderers bounced back with a 2-0 win over Mosta in their last outing after two defeats and a shock elimination frim the U*BET FA Trophy. They are currently sixth and a win over Qormi would put them in furth place.

Qormi lost 0-2 to Valletta last week and aim for a win which would put them three points behind the Blues. They are currently ninth on 17 points.

In thefirst round, Qormi defeated Sliema 2-1.
