Futsal national team ends its commitments with a win

Malta defeated Greece 1-0 in the third and final match from the 3rd Malta International Futsal Tournament which was held between the 6th and 9th January at the Corradino Pavilion.

Kurt Bartolo scored the all-important goal on the 25th minute.

In the first game on Sunday, Malta lost 0-2 to England thanks to two goals in the first half while on Monday, Georgia proved too strong for Malta winning 10-1.

Greece won the tournament after defeating Georgia 4-2 and England 3-0 to end its commitments on six points. Georgia and England finished joint-second on four points.

Malta coach Kevin Mifsud used the following players throughout the tournament: Brian Baldacchino, Jesmond Micallef, Pio Sciriha, Nicola Del Re, Dylan Musu, Cedric Sciberras, Shawn Vella, Andy Mangion, Daniel Brincat, Kurt Bartolo, Ibrahim Tarik, Christian Cassar, Melvin Borg, Gian Carlo Sammut.
