Zebbug Rangers moved eight points clear in the BOV Second Division thanks to a 2-0 win over wooden-spoonists Mgarr United at the Charles Abela Stadium on Saturday.

Msida St. Joseph defeated Kirkop United 2-0 while St. George’s registered a narrow 1-0 win over Pembroke Athleta. St. Patrick, on the other hand, defeated St. Venera Lightnings 4-2.

Gharghur beat Fgura United 1-0 while Mellieha defeated Siggiewi by the odd goal in five.

On Monday, Zurrieq face San Gwann.

Zebbug lead the way with 34 points, followed by San Gwann and Msida on 26, St. George’s 25, St. Patrick 23, Fgura, Zurrieq and Siggiewi 21, Mellieha and Pembroke 20, Kirkop 16, Gharghur 11, St. Venera 10 and Mgarr 7.
