Wooden-spoonists Mqabba earned a point as they held Dingli Swallows in a 1-1 draw in one of the two BOV First Division matches at the Luxol Stadium.

Kain Roomes put Dingli ahead on 27 minutes but David Azzopardi levelled matters for Mqabba just before half-time.

In the second match, Vittoriosa Stars came back from one goal down to beat St. Andrews 2-1 and move on top the BOV First Division table.

Rumen Kerekov put the Saints ahead on 28 minutes but Gary Muir converted a penalty seven minutes later to level matters. Lydon Micallef notched the winner for Vittoriosa sixteen minutes in the second half.

Vittoriosa lead the way with 30 points, followed by Naxxar on 28, Pietà on 27, Marsaxlokk and Lija on 26, Gudja 25, St. Andrews 24, Zejtun 17, Gzira 15, Birzebbuga 9, Dingli 8, Mqabba 4.
