Zurrieq maintained the challenge for promotion to Division 1 after defeating Fgura United 1-0 in a match from the BOV Second Division at the Luxol Stadium.

A win which puts Zurrieq in second place, one point ahead of St. George’s and Msida St. Joseph, who however have a game in hand.

Zebbug lead the way with 50 points, followed by Zurrieq on 38, St. George’s and Msida on 37, San Gwann 35, Fgura 32, Pembroke 31, Mellieha and Siggiewi 28, Kirkop and St. Patrick 23, Mgarr 17, Gharghur 15 and St. Venera 10.
