San Gwann and Fgura United kept alive hopes of securing promotion as they both returned to winning ways in the BOV Second Division.

San Gwann defeated St. Venera Lightnings while Fgura United beat Kirkop United with an identical 2-0 score.

Champions Zebbug Rangers defeated St. Patrick 3-1, Msida St. Joseph beat Mgarr United 5-0 while Zurrieq registered a 2-1 in over Pembroke Athleta.

In another match, Gharghur and Siggiewi shared the spoils in a 2-2 draw.

Zebbug lead the way with 56 points, followed by St. George’s and Msida on 43, Zurrieq 41, San Gwann 38, Fgura 35, Pembroke 31, Siggiewi 29, Mellieha 28, Kirkop and St. Patrick 23, Gharghur 19, Mgarr 17 and St. Venera 13.
