Melita and Hamrun Spartans will be seeking precious points as they take on Floriana and Balzan respectively in two matches from the Relegation Pool at the Victor Tedesco Stadium on Monday.
The Amateurs earned a point in a 2-2 draw with Hamrun last Monday and now aim for a positive result against a Floriana side which has practically secured their Premier League status.
The Greens are in fact unbeaten in the Relegation Pool with four wins and a draw and need just three points from the remaining matches to make sure of playing in the Premier League next season. They are coming from an impressive 4-2 win over Qormi.
Manuel Ramon Sierra Camacho is ruled out for Melita as he serves a one-match ban.
In the first phase, Melita held Floriana in two draws – 2-2 and 0-0 while the third round clash ended in a 2-1 win for Floriana.
In the other match, Hamrun hope to return to winning ways as they face Balzan.
The Spartans won just one of the last nine matches and are coming from a draw with Melita. Balzan, on the other hand, suffered a 0-3 defeat to Rabat Ajax. A defeat which led to the termination of the contract of coach Ivan Zammit who has now been replaced by Balzan nursery technical director Riccardo Tumiatti.
Bledjon Guga and David Camilleri are suspended but Adrian Borg will be back after serving a two-match ban.
